Our Little Bears program in the Denver site offers beginner field hockey instruction for K-5th graders. During this program, players develop a love of the game while learning elimination skills, passing and receiving, shooting, defensive skills, decision making and field awareness.

travel teams
Our Little Bears players have the option to advance their skills by participating on one of our Travel Teams. These teams are for the committed field hockey player looking to take their skills to the next level. We practice 1x per week and travel to 2 tournaments each year. Tryouts for this team are on Sep 30th from 3-5pm @ East Boulder Park.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Clinics
Our Middle School Clinics Program is for beginners looking to advance their skills in the off season. This program focuses on fundamental skills like trapping and passing, shooting, elimination skills, defensive skills, and small sided game play.
Our clinics are offered 1x per week in the Winter & Spring.
INTERSCHOLASTIC MIDDLE SCHOOL (IMS)
Our Interscholastic Middle School Team is only offered in the Fall Season (Aug-Oct). The Bears have a Navy and Gold team that competes in the Middle School League against the following teams: Kent, Colorado Academy, St. Mary's, Graland, and Boulder Bears.
Info will be available before and during the Fall Season for this program. "IMS" teams practice 2x per week and play in a game 1x per week. Mon-Thurs.
travel teams
Our Travel Teams are for the top field hockey players in Colorado who are committed to playing at an elite level. Many of our Travel Team players aspire to play field hockey at DI, DII, or DIII schools or wish to become the best high school athletes they can be.
Travel Team players commit to balancing their schedules throughout the year to accommodate their athletic and academic commitments. We participate in 5 tournaments together from Dec-Nov with three seasons of training: Winter, Spring and Fall. Travel Teams practice 1-3x per week depending on the season.
The Bears have the following Travel Teams based on Birth Year: U10, U12, U14, U16, U19

HIGH SCHOOL
DEVELOPMENT TEAMS
Our Development Team is for athletes aspiring to make the Travel Team or for High School Players looking to improve before their next season.
Development Teams are open to C, JV, and Varsity athletes. After registration, players will be split into ability groups to foster the best training environment for each athlete.
Our High School Development Training is for 9th-12th graders.

LEAGUES
High School Players may have the opportunity to participate in either the Competitive or Social Division of our Adult Leagues. Our adult leagues run in the Winter and Summer seasons. Invite ONLY for High School players.

- shinguards / tall socks
- turf shoes
- water bottle
- CO Bears Reversible Pinnie (can use one from a previous season)
No refunds will be given. Registrations are nonrefundable after receipt. No exceptions. The Colorado Bears do not pro-rate or offer makeups for missed dates
