Overview

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club - Boulder Site offers fun and instructional skills sessions and game days for our Elementary School players, to develop their skills throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Whether you're new to field hockey or looking to take your game to the next level, we have a program for you/your player!

Interscholastic Middle School League (Sept-Oct 2026)

This program is intended for athletes who do not have a field hockey team at their middle school. It focuses on building the fundamental skills of field hockey including passing & receiving, dribbling, first touch, press, outlet, shooting, defensive skills & game play.

Players practice 1-2 times per week and usually have 1 game per week throughout the season, plus an end of season Playday (a round robin tournament of 7v7 small sided game play).

Open to all skill levels, no experience required!

  • Cost

    Early Bird: $699 + transaction fees (until July 5)
    Regular: $750 + transaction fees (until August 2)
    Late: $799 + transaction fees (until Aug 23)

  • Practice Schedule

    Tuesdays @ Manhattan Middle School Turf from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
    AND
    Sundays @ East Boulder Community Park Turf from 2:00 - 3:30 PM

    Tuesdays: 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 10,6, 10/20. (no practice 9/29 due to a game and 10/13 due to Fall Break)

    Sundays: 9/6, 9/13*, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4*, 10/18

    *Timing for these 2 practices will be 12:30p-2:00p (due to P2P league just prior on same turf)

  • Game Schedule

    Games are scheduled against other middle school teams in the Denver area, including St. Mary’s Academy, Graland Country Day School, Colorado Academy, Kent Denver, Colorado Bears Denver IMS Team and the Bears U12 Travel Team. Games will be played on Thursdays with ONE scheduled on a Tuesday and ONE on a Wednesday. 

    • Wednesday 9/9 vs Denver IMS -Navy Bears @ 5:30 PM  (Location TBD- trying to get Boulder field)
    • Tuesday 9/29 vs Colorado Academy @ 5:00 PM (Location - CA: Slater Field) 
    • Thursday 10/1 vs Graland Country Day School @ TBD  (Location TBD- trying to get Boulder field or will be at Graland)
    • Thursday 10/15 vs St Mary's Academy @5:00 PM  (Location- St Mary's Academy)
    • Thursday 10/22 vs Kent Denver at 4:45p (Location-  Kent)

  • Fall Fest Playday

    The Fall Fest Playday will take place on Oct 25, 2026 from ~9am-1pm @ East Boulder Community Park Turf. This will be a fun 7v7 round robin style mini tournament with Denver Bears, Rocky Mtn FHC and possibly other clubs.  Please mark your calendars, you won't want to miss this!
