The Denver Site has a number of programs for high schoolers looking to become the best field hockey players they can be. Our most competitive program is our Travel Team(s). Travel Team Tryouts take place in August each year, and the Travel Season runs for a full year from Dec-May and again in Sep-Nov, with a break over the summer. If you missed our Travel Team tryouts or simply want to improve your skills in the off season, you are welcome to join our High School Development Team (see below). Our Development Team trains together in the Winter and Spring months. Development Team training is focused on building the fundamental skills required to play at the next level. Lastly, high school players can be invited to participate in one of our Adult Leagues. Adult Leagues are run in the Winter and Spring Seasons.
Development Team Winter Season
Our Development Team is for athletes looking to improve their game in the off season, perform the best they can during their high school seasons, and/or be selected to one of our Travel Teams in the future. Our Development Team is open to current and new Bears players. Travel Team tryouts are no longer a requirement to participate on our High School Development Team.
Once registration closes, players will be split up into ability groups. These groups are dynamic and are meant to ensure that players are appropriately challenged within our Development Team. Parents with questions can reach out to Club Director, Emma Bozek at firstname.lastname@example.org.
