Overview

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club - Boulder Site offers fun and instructional skills sessions and game days for our Elementary School players, to develop their skills throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Whether you're new to field hockey or looking to take your game to the next level, we have a program for you/your player!

Practice 2 Play League (Spring 2026)

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club is proud to announce a new hybrid program consisting of one practice (Tuesday) and one game per week (Sunday). Practice 2 Play is open to field players and goalkeepers from K-8th grade (boys allowed in K-5th grade P2P League). The Spring League will also include the Summer Bash Playday, which is a fun-filled day of mini tournament-style games with prizes and awards!

Program Details:

  • Schedule: 6 Tuesday Practices; 5 League Games played on Sundays concluding with Summer Bash Playday

  • Format:

    • Practices: development + skills session

    • Games: 6v6 games (5v5 for Cubs) using outdoor rules

  • Game Play: Two halves with a halftime break

  • Friend Requests: Players will be split up into teams by Colorado Bears staff. If you have a friend request, please include it in the registration.

The Practice 2 Play League offers an exciting way for players to build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and enjoy competitive play each week.

    Registration Fee:

    • Regular: $475 + transaction fees (until February 28)
    • Late: $500 + transaction fees (March 1 or later)

    Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

    Game Dates: 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3 (No Game 5/10), 5/17 Summer Bash Playday

    Time: 12:00 - 1:15 PM

Boulder Little Bears

WINTER 2025-2026

Our Little Bears Program is comprised of weekly skills sessions, all Bears scrimmage and one end of season Playday!

We will focus on first touch, passing and receiving, tackling and channeling. We will also work on goal scoring, smart decision making under pressure and small sided games.

Our focus is on FUN and skill development at all ages!

Boulder Winter Location - Boulder Country Day School

    Cubs:  1st - 3rd Grade
    Grizzlies: 4th - 5th Grade

  • Cost

    $465 (+transaction fee)

    *Price include 10 skills practices, Holiday Jamboree scrimmage & the Polar Bear Playday.

    Dates: 12/2, 12/7, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24

  • Playdays

    Holiday Jamboree Scrimmage - Sunday December 13th @ Foothills Fieldhouse. (Denver) 

      ~ 2 hours of competition (Timing TBD- approx Cubs 8-10a, Grizzles 9-11a)

    Polar Bear Playday - Sunday March 1st  @ Colorado Academy Athletic Center (~9-1PM)

    **Round robin tournament with Denver Bears and possible other clubs.
