Overview

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club - Boulder Site offers fun and instructional skills sessions and game days for our Elementary School players, to develop their skills throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Whether you're new to field hockey or looking to take your game to the next level, we have a program for you/your player!

Practice 2 Play Fall League (Sept - Oct 2026)

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club is excited for another season of our Practice 2 Play League this fall! Designed for both field players and goalkeepers, this program welcomes girls and boys in 2nd through 5th grade, and combines one practice (Tuesday) and one game (Sunday) each week for the perfect balance of skill development and game experience.

The season will wrap up with the Bears Fall Fest Playday, a fun-filled day featuring mini tournament-style games, prizes, awards and many opportunities to celebrate the season with teammates and friends!

Program Details:

  • Schedule: 7 Thursday Practices; 5 League Games played on Sundays concluding with the Fall Fest Playday

  • Format:

    • Practices: development + skills session

    • Games: 6v6 games (5v5 for Cubs) using outdoor rules

  • Game Play: Two halves with a halftime break

  • Friend Requests: Players will be split up into teams by Colorado Bears staff. If you have a friend request, please include it in the registration.

The Practice 2 Play League offers an exciting way for players to build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and enjoy competitive play each week.

  • Cost

    Registration Fee:

    • Early Bird: $499 + transaction fees (until July 5)
    • Regular: $550 + transaction fees (until August 23)

  • Schedule

    Practice Dates: 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20  (no 10/13 due to Fall Break)

    Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

    Game Dates: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25 Fall Fest Playday

    Time: 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
