Paula Petit

Paula Petit was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Paula was a four-sport varsity athlete in field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and track. Paula continued her field hockey career at Bowdoin College, where she earned her B.A. in Anthropology and made the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association DIII National Academic Squad her junior and senior years. While at Bowdoin, she also served as President of the Athletes of Color Coalition, a student-run group that advocates for the diversity, equity, and inclusion of minority student-athletes at Bowdoin. She also graduated with Honors in Public Anthropology for her work through the Athletes of Color Coalition and her advocacy for minority student-athletes across Bowdoin’s campus.

Paula has been a field hockey coach since she was fifteen and loves the Colorado field hockey community. In addition to coaching for Coastal Field Hockey Club in Portland, Maine during the school year, Paula returned every summer of her collegiate career to help coach players across Denver, Aurora, Englewood, Lakewood, and Greenwood Village. After moving back to Denver in the spring of 2020, Paula continued to coach at the youth, middle school, and high school levels, developing players and programs however she could during the pandemic.

Paula is passionate about expanding the game of field hockey across Colorado and advancing the level of play in Colorado athletes. Paula is the Social Media & Operations Manager of Colorado Bears FHC. She is also a member of the Colorado Bears FHC Travel Team Coaching Staff.
