Elementary School

Overview

The Colorado Bears Field Hockey Club offers fun and instructional skills sessions and game days for our Elementary School players. This Fall, our Elementary School Players have two program options: Little Bears Fall Season (K-5th Grade) and Little Bears League (K-5th Grade). Our Little Bears Fall Season is for all skill levels. Players practice as a team and prepare for our Playdays which are mini-tournaments that are included in the program. Our Little Bears Fall League is a series of 5 games coached by our U16 and U19 travel team players.

Little Bears '25 Fall Season Info

Our Little Bears Program is comprised of weekly skills sessions and one end of season Playday! We will focus on first touch, passing and receiving, tackling and channeling. We will also work on goal scoring, smart decision making under pressure and small sided games. Our focus is on FUN and skill development at all ages!

    Early Bird: $375 + transaction fees (until June 3rd)
    Regular: $400 + transaction fees (until July 31st)
    Late: $425 + transaction fees (until August 15th)

    *Prices include all practices & the registration fees for the Fall Fest Playday.

2025 Little Bears Fall League Info

Please join us for our first ever Little Bears League! This league is open to girls in grades K-5 of all skill levels, BEGINNERS WELCOME! Each Sunday will consist of 30 minutes of skills training and 45 minutes of gameplay. Teammate requests will be honored for this League so bring a friend, and we'll supply the FUN!

Our Little Bears teams will be coached by our U16 and U19 travel team players ... our "Big Bears." There will be 5 games throughout the season and up to 6 teams per age division. Grizzlies teams will be made up of 8-10 field players and a keeper, Cubs teams won't have keepers in this League. The League will be comprised of 6v6 small sided games.

    $150 + transaction fees (registration closes August 3rd)

    *If you sign up with a friend who is not already a Bears member, you each are eligible to receive a $25 credit towards a future program! One credit per player. Only one person can claim a specific new player for this promotion.

  • Playdays

    The Fall Fest Playday is NOT included in the Little Bears Fall League. If you'd like to sign up for the Fall Fest playday you can either register for Little Bears Fall Season (where the playday is INCLUDED) or register individually for the Fall Fest in a separate registration.

Advanced Skills - SPRING ONLY!

This year, we are offering our first ever, Advanced Skills program in the Spring 2025 Season! Advanced Skills is a series of five, 75 minute training sessions, where players will learn technical skills like: aerials, strokes, advanced shooting techniques, backhands, 3D elimination skills, etc. This program will offer a smaller player to coaching ratio so players can be guided through learning these new technical skills. This program is for intermediate through advanced players, in 4th-5th Grade, ONLY!

    Monday Nights

    Dates: April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5

    Make Up Date: May 12 (at an alternate field location, if needed)

    4th-8th Grade: 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM

    9th-12th Grade: 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM

  • Cost

    Early Bird: $225 (Feb 3 - Feb 9) + transaction fees

    Regular: $250 (Feb 10 - Mar 2) + transaction fees

    Late: $275 (Mar 3 and later) + transaction fees

Season Resources

All players are required to have

    • Field Hockey Stick
    • Shin Guards
    • Optional for Playdays: Navy & White Knee-High Socks (for over shin guards)
    • Mouth Guard
    • Cleats or Turf Shoes
    • Water Bottle 
    • Colorado Bears Reversible Pinnie

Players are responsible for buying a Colorado Bears pinnie. White and navy socks are optional for games. If you already have a Colorado Bears pinnie, there is no need to purchase another. If you do not have a Colorado Bears pinnie, PLEASE PURCHASE ONE AT CHECK OUT and we will bring it for you on the first day of practice.

No refunds will be given. Registrations are nonrefundable after receipt. No exceptions. The Colorado Bears do not pro-rate or offer makeups for missed dates.
