Colleen has been living in Boulder for the past 15 years with her husband Rod and children Jane (11) and Burke (9). She enjoys running and riding the roads/trails around Boulder, exploring the mountains with her family, traveling and hanging with her Black lab Maeve. Colleen has been passionate about her work as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Children’s Hospital Colorado – Emergency Department where she worked for 13+years

Colleen grew up in Southbury, Connecticut with her amazing parents and 4 sisters. She played field hockey for Pomperaug High School winning 4 conference championships, 1 state championship and making 3 state final appearances. Colleen was named All-State Junior and Senior year and honored as NFHCA 2nd Team All-American as a senior. She went on to play 4 years at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) under the NCAA Division I winningest field hockey coach Nancy Stevens. The team won 3 Big East Championships, and made one NCAA Final Four and two Elite Eight appearances. In 2012, Colleen was inducted into the Connecticut Field Hockey Hall of Fame as a High School player.

Colleen loves coaching with the Colorado Bears and having the opportunity to grow the community of field hockey in Colorado.   As she reflects on her years of play she says: “Field hockey was so much more than a sport in my life. It truly shaped me into the woman I am today. It taught me about teamwork, leadership, dedication, physical endurance and perseverance. I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share this amazing sport with your daughters and to encourage them all to be strong, confident young women.”
