Carla Lane

Carla Lane grew up in Oklahoma City where she learned to play field hockey at Casady School. She played four years at DePauw University winning the Tiger leadership award in her junior and senior seasons and served as the team’s co-captain in her senior year.

After college, Carla was one of the founding members of the Phoenix Scorpions (a co-ed adult club) that is still going strong. From 2000-2007 Carla was the head coach at DePauw University, earning conference Coach of the Year honors three times in her seven year stint. 2007-2020 Carla was the head coach of the field hockey program at Casady School in Oklahoma City. With Carla’s leadership, the Cyclones were perennial contenders and won a conference championship in 2013. While at Casady, Carla created programs for 4 year old through high school athletes to develop their field hockey skills.

Carla has been a Futures Coach since 2000, coaching at the National Futures Championships from 2010-2015, and serving as the director of the Oklahoma Futures site from 2010-2020. She is a level 2 USFHA coaching certification.

In 2018, Carla competed for the USA Masters Field Hockey O40 team in Barcelona, Spain.

An opportunity for Carla’s husband brought the family to Denver in 2020. Carla now works as a real estate agent with PorchLight Real Estate Group.
